Why would we move to Arlington heights when that is not even Chicago no more, does not stand out for the teams name i say we should upgrade soldier field and stay their.

Lori Lightfoot played hardball and got burned; totally her dictator style leadership failed miserably! Now she’s crawling back, weak and defeated. Parking sucks, food sucks, and it’s a pain in the a** to even try to enjoy the game there; you’re exhausted when you arrive. Good riddance. Hope Lori pays the price at the poles.

From 1957 through 1959, I was a Bears season-ticket holder at Wrigley Field -- where I was present
when Vince Lombardi first brought his Packers to face Owner/Head Coach George S. Halas and his
Bears (the Bears won!). I was also present for the Bears' first-ever game at Soldier Field; it was played
on 29NOV1959 and our guys were wearing white uniforms as the visiting team against the Chicago
Cardinals (Bears won!).
Then I went away to college, served in the Navy, and eventually settled in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Subsequently, my only personal attendance at Bears' games has been a couple of times in Tampa.
Long, long ago, I loved Chicago. For the past 10 or 15 years, I've learned to hate it -- but I must not tell you why, lest my comment be censored!
Bottom Line: If the team wants to move to the suburbs, I'll still remain a Bears fan.
Best Wishes,

The renderings still display a clash of architectural styles in which the original roman-esque facade is overwhelmed by a larger glass and steel structure sitting on top of it, might as well knock the columns down, and before somebody says that can't be removed, yes it can. Soldier Field lost its landmark status in 2006 thanks to the negligence of the 2002 renovation.
Therefore the original facade can be removed entirely. My point is one can't have glaringly opposite styles and expect it to not look stupid which it currently does already. This rendition makes it worse. Arlington Heights is their only best option and that's where the Chicago Bears are going.

The renditions look really nice. But the one issue that was NOT addressed is one of the biggest issues…………..PARKING!!!

Chicago is becoming the new Detroit. All of the crime etc it’s fast becoming no place to bring a family. Get the hell out, Bears

No way no how. Chicago draws up some fancy pictures..woop. it won't come out like that. Never does in Chicago. And they want the Bears to pay for half just like last time. Pay for something you don't own? Makes no sense. Build your own and get all parking, concessions, gaming, hotels clubs everything. Chicago gets zip...why should they. What do they have to offer? Not much. Hate going downtown for games. Crap parking, crap concessions, crap bathrooms. City cops being jerks after the game bullying people around. Move along move along...forget Chicago. Move as soon as you can!

The Halas/McCaskey groups major source of income is the Bears. They need a stadium in Arlington with restaurants lodging and other sources of income, like conventions and trade shows. They need to generate wealth outside the football team, so they can spend money ON the football team

The only way the Bears stay in Soldier Field is for the Park District to sell all the land needed to the Bears new ownership group. Then the new owners completely demolish the site and build a new retractable roof stadium that holds 80,000 fans with lake front views.
Bears may need to do a land fill first so the can add parking, bus only lanes and rapid transit lines to facilitate traffic to all the events, (concerts, football games, soccer, track and field, etc)

the park district should have allowed the Bears Org. to make changes to soldier field moons ago. Chicago blames the current Mayor for this but Mayor Daily and his son who were the Mayors of this city for ever did,nt do NOTHING TO FIX THIS considering the revenue the team brought to the city. The park district is to blame for all this! The Bears are only trying to do what other teams have done and thats add more seating capacity so they can afford the big contracts. This issue been going on for years way before there was a Mayor Lightfoot!

its not about proximity to the city. Its about weather advantage. Ditka understands this. Also, for for fans that say bears record in cold weather etc. Its not a guaranteed win, its a advantage, probally like 3 pts. Also, the bears haven't been good
