I just started binge watching this show 2 weeks ago. As I got through the first 5 or 6 episodes, I was not sure if the character of Lola could be believed. But when the episode of the man being encouraged to plead guilty because of the jury’s questions, (with thought of a potential guilty verdict) I knew immediately when the “not guilty decision” was found that Lola was going to find away to get that final agreement over turned, even if she had to face disbarment.

So her old Bo is back in town, she recognizes there are old feelings the need to be reconciled, so potential for there being and issue if she took the prestigious lawyers invite from ex and even discusses that with her best friend. (The district attorney)an he spells it out in no uncertain terms…No!…don’t go there.

And now in the heat of the moment, with the door open and knowing her husband was looking for as desperately as she was trying to contact him…Lola would be so overwhelmed with what’s going on that she falls into a kiss with her ex-boyfriend…that dump her. Really, no self respecting black woman or any woman would pull herself down to that level.

Of every thing I have seen on this show, that last scene was the most unbelievable…make it be a part of the dream…but recognize that the character you have built for the last three years would have never stooped that low on her worst day.

Its just wrong for you to end the episode like this. Whats the moral of your story? Are you saying there is no one faithful out there? Why paint Lola's character bad like that
? Its just wrong. Actually from the very moment you introduce Dre. Black women are stronger and faithful than you are painting. They only cheat when there are pushed to. They value where they are rather than what they used to have. Please correct your wrongs.

I echo the comments of the previous posts. The kiss at the end was utterly disappointing and so cliche. I had hoped this show would have Lola and Robin demonstrating “Black Love” at its best. Writers, do better!

I was so disappointed with the ending of this last episode. During the past 3 years, We have watched these characters grow personally and professionally in their roles. The ending with Lola and Dre was strictly soap opera material..

I agree with the comments! Let’s not go with the infidelity…..this really upset me and I was squeezing my legs so tight and screaming at the TV like she can hear me. Let’s do her slapping him when this returns. I will feel so much better.

Really with the last scene!!! Very disappointing! We can do better! That’s what everyone is expecting to happen. So don’t do it. Please continue to show positive Black love. One of many reasons why I love this show is Lola and Robin’s love. Total opposite of what we always see. And I love that! I would have prefer to see her slapping Dre’ after the kiss. Then Lola handles it like a black women would. Reads him from top to bottom. Robin comes in right after that looking a little confused. Etc, etc, etc…Marriages especially black marriages have struggles that have nothing to do with infidelity. Find that and show that. But not the infidelity. That’s too predictable and cliché. Don’t mess with their love. Oh and I’m not mad at Christian Keyes being new Robin. No shade to the first Robin. Love him too!

This episode was excellent until the last scene. I was so disappointed with the Dre and Lola kiss. Why can't this married black couple just be in love and go through ups and downs without infidelity coming in to play? So disappointing!

I am unhappy that in order to show Lola as a realistic figure, we wrote in an affair. Why not show her turning his advances down and instead of choosing the past, moving forward— being tempted but rebuffing her ex. I think the show went for the expected drama and I really wanted the show to rise above that.
