Nothing is set in stone, but WA is looking to ban the sales of new gas cars by 2035. Thoughts?
This is a terrible idea, goes against free market principles, and will negatively affect the state's economy.
I think this is an excellent way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions - transportation is one of the largest contributors to overall carbon emissions.
I could support such a move, but this means that electric vehicles needs to become more affordable to the general public, and charging stations need to be accessible.
I think it would be better to allow both fully-electric and hybrid vehicles, given other states may not have the same charging station access as we will here.
What's the point? Global climate change is a runaway train — we need to get a handle on this federally, or nothing will change.
This is not an issue I care about.
