Signs around Enumclaw urge you to not give to panhandlers, and to donate to local nonprofits instead. What do you tend to do?

If they're asking for money, I give them some — if I were in their position, I'd hope someone would do the same for me.

I will give them gift cards, so at least I know what they will use the money for.

I'll offer food or other items they may need, rather than money.

I don't give panhandlers anything; they can receive the things they need at the nonprofits I donate to.

This is not an issue I care about.
