Pop-Pop is not the best replacement for Murry. It’s a comedy people make us laugh. Very disappointed. So many different options. It’s like the writer’s didn’t even try. And why Pop-Pop!!??

Everyone is trying too hard and I don't see the momentum this season that's been present in past seasons. I'm disappointed.

I watched the show from the very beginning when the grandfather George Segal passed I was hurt but at least they gave him a beautiful & sentimental send off.Murray was a major part of the show he made it worth while watching it but to just say he's dead & no mention of how ,where & when I'm done with the Goldbergs they just LOST A VALUABLE FAN ! PLEASE GIVE MURRAY A SEND OFF

Sad ending. The real Murray is bipolar. Very cruel ending to a man with a disorder. Very cruel of the producers, writers, etc
So No More Goldbergs for me.
    The show died with Murray.
    Episode 1 this year sucked.

So many of us have been invested in this show since the beginning. Murray deserved a better expiation on why he was gone instead of welp Dad's dead. The actor may have had his own negative departure, but the fans deserve more.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. We’ve watched this show from the beginning. No idea he was on the chopping block! Once again…because someone made allegations or got butt hurt over something he “said”…he was fired. It’s all bs! Hope the show tanks now. We’re done. Thanks for ruining a great show.

I didn't like it at all. I had no idea he was not going to return to the show so I was caught off guard. And then no explanation of what happened to him left me feeling a little confused and I don't know. I've watched up every episode since it began and even though I didn't always agree with the dad's character slothfulness he was a huge part of the family and therefore I believe he deserves a funeral.

I thought the show was perfect. Brought me to tears, more than once. I had no idea he had been fired so I wasn't prepared. For a 30 minute comedy skit, the writers pulled together a bittersweet episode. Thanks for the tears and grins.

The premier was not even funny. I think they handed the father leaving poorly. But more so, how could they have 'pop pop's in the premier since George Segal died. Is this a replacement?

    How did he die?

Should have some ending to their father's death he was a big part in the show and deserved at least a funeral and some special mentioning other than a dirty old chair kind of depressing
