The 49Ers player I would choose for the CPan’ers is none other than.

    Drum roll please. ••••••••••••

“In the Blue Corner, fighting out of
    Albuquerque New Mexico.
    Ronald “Whooooo Hits” Lott.

    RONNIE LOTT.

If one single player could change the Dynamics of an entire (Defense) professional football squad, I steadfastly believe only three of them ever played the game at the pro level. #1 Is “Mr.Ronald Mandel Lott” the next who, coincidentally was born the same month and year “Ronny Lott” was drafted by the 49er’s. Who was also an All American albeit at the Strong Safety Position where Lott was a All American Corner who switched to Safety as a Pro…Another coincidence, both men were products of the same Alma Mater. USC has produced some outstanding pro level players over the years but if you stack them in pairs these two just can’t be beat. Because I love the position and these two were the very best Safety’s to ever play the position at both levels, I can’t help but list the other as a #1 “Troy Aumua Polamalu”. …. Now the final player on this list might very well should have been placed atop this list. But I have already digressed so far from the original question I guess it shouldn’t matter. It’s just that your question of “Which 49Er’s player would you want on the Panthers”?..It would have been easy enough for me to check one of the boxes, however you leaving one of the boxes un-named (Add in comments) kicked me into thinking about it, analyzing the question, trying to think what would your reason for this be. Then it hit me, you wanted to know what player would have a big impact on the team. So I blame this rant on you for not adding two simple words to your question, those being “Current Player”…. Well as I most commonly do I over analyzed this entire thing and decided without question “Ronnie Lott” is the guy. A guy that could have immediate impact, a game changing player. But I couldn’t talk about “Mr. Whooooo Hits” without mentioning the man that went to Douglas High School in Winston Oregon, my adopted home state by the way. The USC All American / Pittsburgh Steeler Strong Safety extraordinaire “Troy Polamalu” No I couldn’t, not anymore than I could go without mentioning the other lager than life Super Human whos own team mates suggested during his rookie year in the league that his locker be replaced with a phone booth. “Superman he was” to this day the only player to be named “Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season”… Drafted the same year and just 4 picks before Ronnie Lott. Picked 1st Round 2nd overall by the NY Giants. He not only changed the entire Dynamics of his teams Defense, he CHANGED THE DYNAMICS OF THE ENTIRE DAMN LEAGUE….. But hell don’t listen to me, I mean I coached the game but this man knows more, better yet forgot more than I will ever know, this is his quote, you may recognize his name at the bottom of his quote.

“Lawrence Taylor, defensively, has had as big an impact as any player I've ever seen. He changed the way defense is played, the way pass-rushing is played, the way linebackers play and the way offenses block linebackers.”

    — John Madden

That’s huge. As big as it gets from a guy as big as they come in Pro Football.

Lawerence Taylor, Ronnie Lott & Troy Polamalu. Are freaks of nature we may never see the likes of again. Not in our life times.

Without meaning to be disrespectful to you, your question or the fine football players on your list. There are very few defensive players that can single handedly alter a defensive squads entire dynamics. There are some really good players today and there have been many in days past. But these guys are way beyond that.

Though just to confirm my answer. If we could roll back the hands of time. My choice would be Ronnie Lott from the 49ER’s..
One last thought before I go. Can I pick one player from the Giants and one from the Steelers also. What a force to be reckoned with that would
