Should the Broncos call Sean Payton?

The Broncos need to 'dance with the one they brought'. As in keep their very expensive QB, their rookie head coach and see what happens. They couldn't get any worse...or could they? I don't think Sean Peyton would want to come to Denver.

The Broncos, the ownership, George all need to see the core problem. “No OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR”. Hacket has to much on his plate. He can’t call off plays and mange the team at the same time. If they are going to keep Hacket then George needs to hire a OC. RIGHT AWAY

Maybe trade for a WR and some help on off line

I agree with a previous comment that the real issue is the ineffectiveness of the offensive line, both in run blocking and pass protection. All those fumbles and drops are contributing factors, as are injuries, but the coach does bear some responsibility. I'd give him the rest of the year (unless the losses continue unabated, in which case he should change his first name to Can't). Being a head coach is a lot like being a corporate CEO.....you have to watch sales, finance, personnel, long and short term strategy, etc. Being good at one of those (e.g., in football, offensive coaching) is not nearly enough.

Let's address the problem's, 1. The offensive line needs an infusion of talent which will take time, draft picks and free agents. This will go a long way to improving the play of our quarterback and the success of our running backs. 2. Our receivers have to find a way to get open and when they do not drop passes. 3. Our running backs need an offensive line but have to hold onto the ball. Without dropped passes and fumbles we'd look okay this season with talk about the offensive line being the key to being a contender rather than our coach and our quarterback.

Seriously, what fantasy are you all living in?
Go ahead and call him. Ya really think he's interested in jumping into this mess in Denver? Seriously, put yourself in his position. Would you?
NO, you wouldn't. There are going to be a handful of options for him and he's not stupid. SP is waiting for the opportunity to take over a team that is ready to be a contender or is already a contender. Arizona? Maybe, that job is coming up. Seattle? Sometime soon Pete Carrol is going to retire. How do you think they signed Sean Desai as an assistant head coach. San Francisco? San Diego?
No established head coach is going to consider Denver because they gave up their future for the wrong QB and hired a coach that can't and the GM is about to get fired for signing those two clowns.
The only coaches Denver can choose from are unproven college coaches and assistant and former coaches that are desperate for a job.
Reality man, ya need to face it.

A change is needed. Hackett is not the answer. But neither is Payton

I think they just need to let the season play out and move from there. We have what we have...they are all rookies! I'm tired of fair weather fans! We need to support our team in time of need!

Perhaps a change is not yet necessary. They seem to be moving the ball pretty well at times but then just die out. RW is hurt so maybe he should sit out a few games and just watch. Peyton getting injured the year we won the SB really helped him understand just how good the defense was and that he did not have to carry the team. Maybe watching from the sidelines will help RW see some things that he is missing on the field.

I feel mure then the coach should travel is PAYTON the answer who knows he has the expericence may be able to handle WILSON if that is a possibility. Some thing has to be done NOW.

Interesting parallels here. Aaron Rogers stayed with the Packers instead of coming to the Broncos (if there actually was an option of that happening). Since leaving the Packers, their offense has nose dived. Now they did loose their primary receiver but how much of that decline has been due to loss of Hackett? He may be a great offensive coach but is clearly in over his head as a head coach. The NFL is not the training ground for head coaches.

Broncos are a very classy organization, therefore should never settle for a experimental coach. Hackett is a O. C. ,not a head coach. I would hope that Sean Payton would only coach again at a classy organization like Denver. He knows he already would have the pieces, just needs to make them work. I would think the new ownership group would want to do this in order to upgrade the coaching position like they and will do to the rest of the organization. No knock on Hackett ,but this is a needed change to move this team the right way.

If like the story heading reads, if we lose to the Jets & Jags, i don't think we have a choice, but to make a change.

believe the job is too large for the rookie coach. He has poor judgement. Wilson is no Aaaron Rodgers. Rodgers make Hackett look real smart!
