Should the Bears trade the No. 2 pick to the Bengals in this mock draft?

Trade with the Raiders for Adams and much higher picks. They need a qb and would be interested.

  • Marlon - 1 year ago

Trading a second overall pick for a good but not great player is not smart. Give us Chase.

  • Johnny Red - 1 year ago

No way, the bears could get much more from another team and a first rounder or maybe two first rounders this year plus a player plus a first rounder next year plus a second rounder and third rounder. So, no way would I make the trade listed above, why would the bears allow themselves to be fleeced! I wouldn't even consider trading with somebody and drop all the way down to 28! I mean, you want to stay in the top 10! There are teams that have two first-round draft choices in that category. I'd say both of those first rounders and a second rounder this year and maybe a player possibly. Next year another first rounder and then maybe a second or third rounder? Now that sounds fair.

My thought is if the Bears have the chance to draft a generational talent do it. The D line is imo the most pressing need and there are a couple players in this year’s draft who would fill the need as a game wrecker. That said, if Poles can pull off a trade with a QB needy team and get an overwhelming return, such as a few high picks and talent in return then go for it. The Bears have a lot of holes to fill.

Clearly these people in here don’t know how good Higgins is.. people referring to him as “scraps” ????????????‍♂️.. gona have over 1200 yards this year.. and had over 1k last year all while Chase is getting a ton of targets.. granted since the bears will have to dish out a huge contract to him they have to get back another 1st next year

  • Josh - 1 year ago

The bengals wouldn’t make this trade they have no need to move up that high an the bears would be stupid to trade it an miss on getting a franchise QB cause Fields isn’t it . He would make a great RB or maybe a backup

  • Josh - 1 year ago

    Man this is awful.

Trading from 2-28 and you don’t get a first pick in a later year? I don’t care who you get in the trade.

Higgens could be a good pickup and if this trade included a 2024 first round and maybe an extra 2023 2-4 Round pick it would be ok

  • Johno - 1 year ago

This is absolutely ridiculous and one of the worst proposals I've seen. From 2nd to 28th would require at least a 2024 1st and potentially a 2025 2nd and 3rd along with 2023 1st,2nd

There will be much better options to trade back into top ten if not pick Anderson

Hey Poles Man Please For the love Of Just Doing something Really Smart... Trade The Pick For Sure atleast

Now What To Do With the Pick Thats Up In the Air. But It's Obvious We Need Weapons. Chicago Has Crazy Weather so Its Also Obvious we Need One Of the Best Rush Offenses in The League to Compete... Well of course In my Opinion I Mean. So with that said I Suggest We Trade Down to the Hungriest Team for A QB On Draft Day No Matter What Just Answer The Phone Thats it. Should Get the biggest Haul From there I Like Taking This TE Micheal Mayer and Another WR Im thinking JSN AND ALSO IN THIS DRAFT PLEASE GRAB SOME DEEP SPEAD EFFORTLESS BALANCE WIDE RECEIVERS AND I WOULD TAKE A PROVEN UNDER-APPRECIATED WR WITH THE HAUL LIKE A Brandon Ayuik, Cutis Samual, Terrece Marshall Evan A Deshawn Jackson And Of Course Address O Line Depth And Stamina

And Yes this is My Pre App to being A Scout/Draft Consultant

    And Happy Holidays

    Bear Down

    Sincerely

    The MoMoney team

That would be a dumb ass move

  • David M - 1 year ago

    @Nester....."In Pace we trust"? Really?

  • David M - 1 year ago

That's terrible compensation to move from 2 to 28. Makes me think someone that doesn't know football projected this trade. That's a first round pick short. SF moved up from 13 to 3 last year and gave up a total of 3 first round picks and change.

  • Nestor - 1 year ago

That’s almost insulting! All due respect but the #2 pick will bring a bigger haul than that. Take the QB if need be and force the trade with someone who wants the QB…. Be willing to call the bluff.

No question the goal of this draft is to raise your entire roster from a “D” grade to C+/B- with a draft choices and free agency.

    In Pace we trust!

  • Richard Eberhart - 1 year ago

No way in hell bears trade down to 28, that's just ridiculous and stupid. Need way more than a late first and a bunch of scraps for the overall #2. This guy is an idiot.

  • Scott Sanders - 1 year ago

They should only trade back so far. They need Skoronski out of Northwestern. They gotta protect Fields. He doesn’t have time to throw deep, he is always running for his life.

  • Corey Mohl - 1 year ago

If the bears trade no2 they will definitely trade with a quarterback needy team. Not with Cincy. They would get way more trade bait from a team looking for that franchise quarterback.

  • Mark Moddeman - 1 year ago

The Bears should jump at this trade but there is no way the Bengals would ever give up that much to take a chance on #2 position

  • Mark Shonk - 1 year ago

Id certaining not draft a 3-4 olb edge for that lst pick. Id make that trade for the WR, plus 2nd, 2024 lst and 3rd, but Cincy has a great team now and wont trade so much for Micah Parsons 2.

  • Richard White - 1 year ago

I think that Mr Poles got fleeced when he gave up a second round pick for Claypool. I hope this is not an indicator of how he's going to conduct the upcoming draft. There is some belief that it should always be quality over quantity!!! He has a chance to draft a generational player with his first pick and I hope he takes advantage of it.

  • Richard Johnson - 1 year ago

I would rather they find another team with a higher first rounder, get their one and two and a first next year or something of that nature. Trading back to 28 is way too far back at that price. Cinci would have to give up MORE than that!

  • Chris - 1 year ago

I'm a Bengals fan and no way would they make that deal. That's giving up way too much in my opinion. Cincy doesn't have alot of big holes . We will stand pat at 28-32 range and grab a great complimentary piece to our roster, no need to change the model now and try and make a big 1st round splash...probably our biggest needs are OT and CB and nobody is worth the #2 overall pick in those spots so it makes even less sense

Is this click bait or does the author just put any type of crap? So what you are proposing is a late 1st and late 2nd plus a 3rd next year (probably late 3rd), when draft value charts say a 3rd next year is akin to a 4th this year. Plus Tee Higgins. Ok. Don't know much about Higgins. Halfway decent numbers. But he is coming out of contract after 2023. So you want the Bears to have a 4th pass catcher (after Kmet, Mooney, and Claypool) all coming out of contract at the same time????

We gave up a mid 1st, mid 5th and a future 1st and future 4th to move up 9 places to get Fields. But you are ok with getting this little for someone to move from late 1st (mid 20s or worse) for probably the 2nd overall pick.

Is cannabis legal where you posted this????

You have to be joking . The Bears would be crazy to do somthing that stupid. Poles is alot smarter than that. The Bears need impact players to build with and Anderson or Carter fit that bill. No. 28 anit going to get it done. Cinncinatti would love that deal. So whomever wrote this secario must be a Bemgal dreamer.

  • Cyweegee - 1 year ago

How about trading #1 to Seattle for #3, #14 and #37.

  • David - 1 year ago

First if I'm the Bears and going to trade the #2 overall pick to Cincy wouldn't trade for Tee Higgins. Instead trade for Jamarr Chase

  • Mr. Rese - 1 year ago

"ALPHA" type college players always look promising, until they move up in status (professional). Then they're just average at best. Plus, the higher you're drafted the more guaranteed salary you must pay. Trade down, get more players with the same money and sign some healthy, experienced players to fill multiple positions.

  • Al - 1 year ago

This writer has to be crazy; trade back to number 28! No way.

  • 513 - 1 year ago

Lol. Bengals trading Tee Higgins for literally anything is laughable and sounds like wishful thinking from this writer.

  • Chuck - 1 year ago

Trade away the #2 pick for a good not great WR, and get peanuts in return? Plus the Bears will have to pay Tee a big fat contract or franchise tag him after the 2023 season if they want to keep him? Yeah the GM that makes this move should be fired on the spot.

  • David - 1 year ago

@NickShaw the Bears didn't trade away 3 first round picks to move from 3 to 2 for Trubisky. They traded a 3rd and a 4th rounder that same year along with a 4th rounder the next year. Crazy how people's memories change in a matter of a few years ????

  • Jay - 1 year ago

We are not trading TEE HIGGINS .... PERIOD!!!

  • Joe - 1 year ago

If you look at the draft value chart, this trade is only even if Tee Higgins is worth a top 7 pick. Which he is not even close. I would consider this trade if the Bengals included they’re 2024 First rounder and maybe another sweetener

  • Nick Shaw - 1 year ago

This is absolutely ridiculous. I feel like a Bengals fan wrote this. There's no way in hell Poles makes this deal lol. The Bears gave up like 3 1st round picks and a second round pick to move up one spot from number 3 to number 2 to get Trubisky!!! You really think the Bears would trade their number 2 for a number 28 and a receiver who's not even in the top 20???? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? Even if it's a team in the top 5 trading for number 2..... I would still demand 2 or 3 1st round picks as well as a 2nd and 3rd. Draft a couple wide receivers and try to find a free agent better wide receiver than Tee Higgins

  • Michael DeCook - 1 year ago

We need a great wide receiver to help JF. Put some veteran wideouts in the mix for some stability and get another playmaker at wide receiver

  • bobby innis - 1 year ago

i say trade with some1 within the top 10 get a good haul then trade that top 10 pick to another team and load up even more picks then get a good DL/OL/WR usually the 3rd and 4th rd has a couple of good line guys

  • Johnny 5 - 1 year ago

When I think of #1 wrs Tee Higgins just doesn’t blow me away. I feel like the Bears should action off this pick and move down 6-9 picks to choose one of the stud left tackles or the wr out of TCU. This is a pivotal offseason for our beloved, don’t blow it.

  • Charles DeGawl - 1 year ago

I feel like you could trade with another team with a better pick in the draft and get a similar haul if not much better haul. Trading back to 28 is to far to fall. I would much rather trade with a team like the panthers and get DJ Moore and multiple 1st rounders. Teams will give up an absolute haul to go that high let alone to jump 25+ spots. I believe the saints gave up multiple ones last year to jump a few spots to get olave in the middle of the first round. You need to get a huge package for trading a such a premier spot.
