A proposed bill in the WA state legislature would reduce the blood alcohol limit while driving from 0.08% to 0.05%. Thoughts?
I agree completely with this proposal; we need to reduce the number of collisions caused by impaired driving, and this is a good way to do it.
This sounds like a good idea, but I think that it'll just get people who aren't actually impaired into trouble.
I think drivers shouldn't have any alcohol in their system if they're driving! Make the limit 0.01% or less.
We need to be more proactive about impaired driving, not reactive. It would be a long rollout, but what about installing interlock ignition devices in all new cars?
This isn't an issue I care about.
