Too many damn commercials The story never really got the chance to get going before they cut away. And India just dosen't fit in. Need some one to play off Dan. He was just "Dan" I love this show don't screw it up!

It’s an old school sitcom with an old school feel. Watch the reruns. It’s just as silly, and Larroquette steals every show. The supporting cast needs work and Melissa needs to take it down a notch, but John is still Dan and he brings it 110% and makes it all worth it.

Not as funny as the original. John needs to bring back the original Dan Fielding‼️

Fielding should transition back to prosecution (Dan's acerbic wit is wasted as a defense)and they need another Markie Post style (kind of clueless bleeding heart)defense attorney. I think this would really pull it together. Seems like a good ensemble and with these changes I think they can all shine.

The laugh tracks were terrible and took away those things that might have been funny otherwise. Lacked a feeling of natural pacing by actors who seem to have been acting to appear funny, rather than natural.

I watched both shows last night, it was like waiting in the dentist chair with him saying before giving you shots of novocaine won't hurt much. I guess I had high expectations but they were all dashed out the window. Hopefully. NBC won't keep this in their line up.

Help reduce climate change. Just show reruns of the old Night Court in this time slot.
Not funny yet the laugh track keeps drowning out the dialogue. Those of us you remember the old, excellent Night Court now have hearing that is not quite as good. We are also now intelligent enough to know what is and what isn't funny.

Personal grades.
Dan A
Melissa B+
Kapil as Neil C
India as Olivia D
Lacretta as Donna the bailiff B+
Pretty true to the original in my opinion. Dan and Melissa shine with Lacretta as the bailiff. Kapil as the clerk is so so..India bombs for me. The show needs a true female comedy lead here as the prosecutor. Someone who can handle Dan and lob back the comedy schtick.

the original cast broke the mold-aint nothing like the real thing baby
a sitcom is supposed to make you laugh this did not except ONCE during both episodes
a show is only as good as its writers - who have a long way to go to match original show

I enjoyed watching it and hope it lasts. Characters are similar to the old show.

Once the supporting staff is fleshed out a little bit it should be just short of perfect
Awesome
