Excellent writing, superb acting…all supported by cliffhanger episode endings. The complexity of Franklin’s character is well demonstrated by Damson Idris.

Best acting I’ve seen on a show since the wire. It’s a crime if Amin Joseph doesn’t get an Emmy. It’s a crime that Amin Joseph doesn’t have an Emmy. The best acting is when characters turn dark. I never saw Uncle Jerome turning dark. The wise cracking OG uncle became one of the most vicious characters on the show. That last scene of episode 1 felt like Scorcescee. Goodfellas Casino. With the issac Hayes walk on by. As the score. As a viewer you felt like this was war when Jerome said tell Franklin this was him. We’ve never seen Uncle Jerome like that. But we knew there would be consequences at the end of Season 5 when Franklin robbed uncle Jerome and Louie and killed 4 of thier associates. And in Sesson 6 episode 1 we saw some of those Consequnces.

The first two episodes are worthy of an Emmy, some of the best acting I have ever seen on TV
