Geno got signed, so no, obviously do NOT draft a QB at #5. But that doesn't mean we can't draft a good project to be his backup in the later rounds. #5 and #20 should both be to bolster the defense, pure and simple. Defense wins championships, like with our only SB ring. So go get an DE/DT/LB in those first two picks.

Geno’s a great story but he’s not leading the Seahawks to any Super Bowls, not this season or any other. Anthony Richardson is the QB that the Seahawks have been waiting for, I s ay that John needs to do whatever he needs to, bring him to Seattle. If we don’t, I expect that we’ll be regretting it for years to come, as he leads another team to come.

Let's talk trade, if carliona or vegas want to give up the bank jump at it, but it must include a 24 first round. Sitting at 5 your right at getting someone great or over paying for just falling short. If Anderson and Carter are gone trade down. I would even say trade up for one of them.

They need a quarterback but defensive or offensive line is most important. The game starts on the ball so build it from there. Without a solid offensive line no quarterback, receiver, or running back is going anywhere & without a solid defensive line the opponent is going anywhere they want. Pete Carroll's first draft with the Seahawks was all about the offensive line and that led to success

The defense after first round No pick will be worth $34 million guaranteed contract.

May never get a low pick like this again. Better make it count! I don't have confidence in Geno to carry the load. A bridge QB at best and you better start thinking of the future. That being said if a good QB.is at the fifth pick take him. If not go defense! Don't take a QB just to get one. Make sure he will be pick worthy!

I'm ok either way Jon and Pete have proven year to year they know what they are doing in the draft it's free agency pick ups that normally falls short so we will wait and see I like the idea of having a younger team with more money available to extend contracts that deserve it and worth it

Why not if the right one is available? I know I'll get comments back but from everything I've seen & read about Richardson I believe he's gonna be at least very good at the next level.
So why not grab him? With his size and speed, can you imagine him running some old fashioned Seahawks QB draws up the middle like Zorn used to run? Even Wilson ran it early in his career until he bulked up like a linebacker.
Like they're saying, we haven't had a pick this high in decades, take a chance...but they probably won't.

I could see Seattle trade the 5th pick .. acquiring 9th pick or 9th plus other picks then getting QB. But if they staying put at 5.. go with edge rusher
