Lamar Jackson Atlanta Falcons want to win Super Bowl

The comments here are just bad. Way too many short term thinkers or win-now temporary fans.

    - lamar should not be in the falcons plans. A budget-busting deal for a qb that misses 25-30% of every season, and who doesn't frankly impress most of the time, and we get to lose multiple years of opportunity to draft franchise players? Hard pass

    - draft a qb? Before carolina moved up I would have maybe been on the fence. Now we'd have to give up more years of opportunity for franchise players for a roll of the dice. Who do we get? Josh Allen? More likely mitch trubisky or Mike Glennon. There's way more misses than hits for qbs. If it's your pick then ok but if you're breaking the bank on a trade up that is just dumb.

    - best case? Use the wealth of funds and opportunity provided by a qb on a rookie deal to build an amazing team with best player available mentality, after signing an edge, a cb, a wr and a tackle. Set up a team where a qb can succeed, instead of expecting a qb to carry the team and get injured, worn out, w/e and put us back on the qb carousel in a few years.

This is why Fans are fans. They don't think things through. Is Desmond Ridder better than the QB's in this draft? Probably not, so it makes sense to DRAFT a QB if one drops to the #8 spot. Desmond Ridder could be Great but if we get a chance to draft a CJ Stroud, they better pull the trigger. We can draft defensively from the 2nd to the 7th round and sign offensive linemen in FA. BUT we better not overlook a 1st round QB if one becomes available. It's win win. Either Desmond comes out smoking and wins the starting position and we have trade material with the backup QB or the new rookie beats out Desmond and now we have 2 quality players or future trade bait.

Please, please get someone Ridder can learn from someone else he is still growing. Can we please get Lamar Jackson please.

Definitely get Lamar if it’s possible, Ridder can still learn and we’d have a solid backup. Just don’t think we have enough weapons to intice Lamar to even wanna come. Memories of Vick dance in our heads, Love to see it again, but let’s just concentrate on our defense that can’t stop anyone. Don’t need Lamar to score points.

I think a free agent quarterback not necessarily Jackson but a good free agent QB definitely the answer. And let Ridder get some more seasoning behind a good starting QB. I don't think going after another college quarterback is the answer. Concentrate on the defense our defense last season couldn't stop a toddler in a phone booth. The defense sucked and we lost games because of our shitty defense.

We certainly don't need Jackson, his cost is just too steep. Bring in a good vet backup, let Ridder have the reins. I believe he will be a very good qb given the opportunity. He showed improvement in every start last year. And there's always a diamond in the rough with undrafted players. Plus you have qbs in Xfl and Usfl to scout, our biggest problem is the defense can't hold leads! Fix it!

No I don't think so riddle is a good quarterback to me find a backup for him and we start working on our defense making it more stronger and powerful to stop the run in the past we need to work on our defense .

I think we should if it’s Stroud,Young, Richardson or Bennett. That way you have two young QUARTERBACKS that can compete for the position and either way you have a young Quarterback incase something happens

  • Spike - 1 year ago

No. And we DONT need Lamar; he’d cost so much there wouldn’t be any money left. The DEFENSE needs improvement. Couldn’t keep a lead last season.

If it's CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson... But trust me I'd much rather have Lamar Jackson ????????

  • Paul - 1 year ago

    We want Lamar!!

  • James Matsko - 1 year ago

We have to address Qb and that takes money too.2 young Qbs for reasonable contracts and they can play in preseason to see who's best.We need the BEST.and we would have a young backup waiting to prove.Arthur likes competition just saying.

Only if it’s Yound or Stroud

I believe Ridder deserves a chance at the job, he showed improvement in the games he played in last year, he couldn’t be any worse than Marcus.
