Will the Steelers sign LB Bud Dupree?

Since Bud has visited Pittsburgh and left without signing a contract, I suspect that ship has sailed.
A number of things may have prevented obtaining his signature on a contract. His asking price, his role as a backup,
Or even his physical. I know many of us wanted to entertain having Bud back , but we don’t need to jump into a new contract that ties up Cap money unless we are reasonably sure Bud can do what he is asked, and at a reasonable price.

Happy Saturday Dupree you are one of the best at what you do when it comes to playing the game that you love. We had missed you and black and yellow and as a family fan we couldn’t wait to get you back on the field again with the #1team4thefans. Let’s go for the trophy ????.

Since he left without a contract, it's doubtful. Anyone saying he was a bust or he's washed is out of their minds. As a 3rd edge on roster that would be PHENOMENAL. Now my newest mock had van Ness at 17, branch at 32, Campbell at 49, schmitz at 80, ika at 120, whyle and a athletic freak OT but raw and converted TE in 7th Broderick Jr or something I forget. Had a 9.7 ras score tho and worth the pick. I'd love that draft.

The Steelers need to pass on Dupree he is to injury prone andhis best years are behind him, besides we all ready have an outside linebacker in Watt who can’t stay on the field. The Steelers need to look for a young outside linebacker in the draft.

Dupree would be a great addition for the Steelers. Hate that he left, but that’s the nature of the business. It would be great ???????? with the free agents signed so far!

Looking back, Dupree was almost considered a bust his first two years. His best days are behind him and he’s been injury prone for the past three years. Unless Dupree can be hired cheap (under $2M), I would rather the steelers draft an edge rusher the end of day 2 or day 3. Both of the two new inside linebackers could slide over to an edge rusher to give Watt or Heismith a breather for a play or two, while working in a rookie occasionally. Robinson could be an option as a backup too.

Unless he's in big demand they should wait until after the draft the same way they did with the honey badger last year. A cheaper replacement may be in the draft and you could use that money elsewhere on a position of greater need like a veteran slot

I guess for the right money 3 million max or less.
