The Klingons from the Discovery series we're over the top out of line. The Next Gen/DS9 era Klingons are what we've come to expect them to look like. While Discovery was a great addition to the Star Trek family with superb story line and excellent cast, the look of the Klingons was terrible and really hard to look at.

My concern is cannon. In TOS, Klingons did not have the head crest developed in NextGen. In the Enterprise episode "Affliction" they explain why the head crest disappeared on the TOS series. So now, in the time between these two shows the head crest appear again? I understand the Discovery series took a deeper look into the ancestry of Klingons. I can except there being different races of Klingons but then there should be some that have no crest on Season 2 of Strange New Worlds. Disappointed in the break from cannon.
