I have walked away twice from companies, one had unethical behavior the other a toxic environment. These companies would not exist if we would all walk away. The other reason to walk away is when it negatively impacts your health. I have done that as well.

As a contract consultant I do my best and push for the right no matter what the circumstances because when I am a) eventually shown the door because I didn't give in to unethical demands, or b)I simply walked away, I know I did my best and did the right thing. There are too many project opportunities available to put up with unethical practices and toxic environments.
