About how often would you say you get stuck behind a truck parked at the fuel island and not getting fuel?

Try to fuel at non peak hours. There is a one 9 fuel stop in PA where the young man working will come outside and actually walk the lot and check for drivers blocking pumps and other nonsense. There really needs to be more of this, I give a lot of credit to the young man doing that.

I am a wide load 12-18 feet. I can only fit in the widest island and even then 98% of the time I have to back out. Escort vehicles clear my rear but sitting to pull up to the pump jams up alot of maneuvering space that impacts everyone

Truck stops are going to just have to get attendants to watch over the fuel island, to make sure drivers are getting fuel. The new breed of drivers today are just inconsiderate, that comes from the way they were raised by their parents.
