I really hope that the producers of Love is Blind actually get to read my comments:
I'm so disappointed with the shows producers. This show is about finding love through their interactions in the pods. You allowed Lydia to completely sabotage the relationship between Aaliyah and Uche by bringing up her problems with him from a previous relationship. Anyone of us could talk badly about someone we have had a relationship with but it doesn't mean they will be the same with another person. The producers should have pulled Lydia and Uche out of the game!!!!!!!! Their previous relationship should have never been allowed!!!!!!!! Even if Uche was the person Lydia described, Aaliyah and Uche never got a chance to find each other because Lydia was allowed to badmouth Uche and put her experience with him in Aaliyah's head. And she did it under the pretense of being Aaliyah's "friend", loving and caring about her. In a discussion between Aaliyah and Lydia, Aaliyah kept saying she didn't want the information but Lydia just kept telling Aaliyah about Uche's car, apartment, dog. No other person had someone from their past giving their experience of a bad relationship with that person. Uche did his badmouthing too and he talked about it in a bad way but no one really called Lydia out for what she did. I think Lydia had a bad relationship with Uche and wanted to make sure someone else didn't have a good one. I would have loved to have seen how Uche and Aaliyah would have dealt with their relationship if Lydia had not sabotaged the whole thing. And who is it that got her happy ever after? Lydia. Go figure. The only person who really was innocent in all of this? Aaliyah. I think the producers allowed this situation because it would give the show more drama and in the end, more ratings. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! If this show is going to focus more on drama and not about the relationships that can come from learning about a person emotionally first before seeing the physical person, I don't think I'll be watching this show again!!!
On a personal note, I met my husband a week after I turned 18 yrs old (March) and we were married (January) before I turned 19 and he had to be gone for 7 months in that 10 month time because he was in the Navy and had to go to sea. We didn't have cell phones or "face to face" communication. We only had letters and cassette tapes. We fell deeply in love through those communications. We were married 3 weeks after he returned and we have been married for 49 years. So I guess I was so drawn to this show because I thought "finally, they are coming up with a show where people can find love without bringing all of the other junk and physical appearance into it" but then you let Lydia and Uche sabotage poor Aaliyah. I think you all owe Aaliyah a huge apology.
