I always approach these as if they were film festivals: which one would i attend, leaving all other festival organizers to the Filmspotting Incinerator? (Wait, is that going to far? Judges? Ruling?)
When selecting a curated collection of films, I like a combination of familiar favourites with shameful blindspots...
Adam has "Dawn of the Dead" (fave) and "The Thing" (blindspot), but 3 others i'm unpopularly favourable-but-lukewarm on.
Josh has 4 blindspots (!!!) and a classic that might not reward a repeat viewing, so those are risky festival odds.
Mike has "The Shining" (fave), a couple i need to see again, and a couple of blindspots.
Sam is killin' it with "Psycho", "Get Out", "Suspiria", and "Jaws" ... but then he "Doom"-ed my vote with "The Bride of Frankenstein". I don't believe the hype on that one. Am i the only one who considers it a cash-grabbing disaster?
Mike wins.

Adam almost got my vote with The Thing alone, but had to give it to Mike for the essentials including Evil Dead II, which captures the true spirit of Halloween. All the lists had some of my favorites, though, and this was such as fun listen.

Voted for Adam but here to defend Sam - only 15%? Two stone-cold classics of any genre in Psycho and Jaws, a new classic in Get Out, possibly the height of Universal monster movies in Bride, and then Argento’s masterful Suspiria. It’s a great list.
I ultimately decided on Adam’s list because it all felt more specifically “horror” to me - and maybe that’s why Sam’s vote is so low.

These are all great lists, but Adam’s is the one, from top to bottom, I cannot find any space to nit-pick. Good pander on The Thing, Adam; mission accomplished.

Some synchronicity: I’ve been working my way through the archives, and just hours after my comment about Carrie I got to hear Adam and Matty massacre that film. I feel better now.

Wonderful show. Thank you.
A bit sad at the lack of love for De Palma’s Carrie.

Went with Adam’s list as much because is has Alien on it as anything. I am odd with horror I don’t like the Shining and was disappointed with The Exorcist. The films I would have tried to get are
Alien
An American Werewolf in London
Creepshow (arguably the best horror anthology)
The Wicker Man
Shaun of the Dead
Doubt it would win the poll, but they are some of my favourites
