So many amazing covers to choose from! But when I saw you had one of my favourite covers of 2023 in the mix, the choice ended up being quite easy. For the masterful control of an unusual palette that could easily have ended up looking sickly, for the way he's made the allotment look like no man's land, and for the clever Paul Nash echoes, I have to go with Harry Goldhawk's cover for Digging For Victory.

Some amazing book covers but No. 1 Zeina Starborn really caught my attention and stood out above the rest.

It was a difficult decision but BOOK ONE: Zeina Starborn and the Emerald King was the one I kept returning to.
They’re all lovely but number 5 stood out for me
I love Raven’s expression… is she sad, thoughtful, determined, scared? All of these things I think.
Difficult choices. Really struggled with Zeina Starborn... and The Girl born... As I love the vivid colours in the Northern lights. It was the moon artwork that edged it for me
