With my previous employer we wouldn't have won a 5 million dollar deal without our presence at HIMSS. Several of my colleagues won deals because of our presence at Becker's meetings last year.

I go to conferences for socializing and recruiting. We have met several potential candidates and at least one hire at informatics conferences (AMIA).
