Rififi might be the better crime movie, but Elevator has a luminous Jeanne Moreau walking through the streets of Paris to an epic Miles Davis score. Elevator for the win.

Rififi is one of the greatest noirs ever made and one of my favorite films ever, so it being a play-in is nonsense to me!
Rififi is a near-masterpiece and Elevator is merely quite good. Miles Davis can't save this one!
