Mild confession: I think the 1995 remake of Sabrina with Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond is just as good as the original if not better, so I don't think I'm losing much here by voting for The African Queen. Plus, despite whatever Josh might think, the chemistry between Bogart and Katherine Hepburn is fantastic, miles better than Bogart and Audrey Hepburn. Sabrina may genuinely be the worst Audrey Hepburn romantic pairing, and that is a phenomenally low bar.
It's been quite a long time since I've seen these, both of which I recall liking. The choice then comes down to a simple question: Which Hepburn is a more credible romantic pairing for Humphrey Bogart. Audrey is 30 years younger than Bogey. Ick. The African Queen gets my vote.
Okay I broke the rules because I haven't seen African Queen yet but Sabrina was pretty good and is also my wife's name so sue me.
