I know it's bad form to vote without having seen both films. But I have to be honest: even if I had seen High Noon, i'd still vote Hot. that's how much i love it.

Just two films that blew me away when I was a wide eyed film lover chasing down the AFI top 100. That was a long time ago. My memories of them are sparse but joyous. I remember Gary Cooper doing the right thing even when no one else would. I remember Some Like It Hot feeling like it hadn't aged a day. I might as well flip a coin. I hope I forget who I voted for so I can just be happy that one of these films will have a chance to keep going.

1. Wilder is one of my favorite directors.
2. Some Like It Hot is his most overrated movie.
So High Noon advances.

I think anyone who's watched Some Like It Hot post-MeToo will attest that the "trick girls into having sex" plot just doesn't seem excusable any more.
Just rewatched HOT and it's good but not the masterpiece everyone apparently thinks it is. Epic western > screwball fun.
