Dear Mr. Patrick Banks. I will cancel out your vote. LOL. No it’s all classics. But Rear Window is probably in my all time top four.

Since I first saw it in my sophomore year of high school, Bridge is one of my all timers. It will will be hard for me not to pick it in a ny round, but I know the film is not for everyone. I found out the hard way.
About 10 years ago, my then 14 year old daughter and I went to see retro performances of classic films at various local theatres. Coincidently, the movie that started the whole adventure was Rear Window. She LOVED it!
So several movies pass and I tell her we are going to see one of my all timers, The Bridge Over the River Kwai. Myexcitement to share this movie with her was palatable, bordering on obnoxious. Then, within minutes of the film starting, she exclaimed, "You didn;t tell me this was a WAR movie! How long is this thing." I will let you imagine her response when I told her about two and a half hours.
The awesomenss that is David Lean's direction and the acting of William Holden and Sir Alec Guiness did not win my 14 year od girly girl over. Lucky for me, she is not participating in Filmspotting Madness and my vote for River Kwai will not be countered with hers for Rear Window.
