Build a bridge from North Saanich to Saltspring Island. Build a new highway to Long Harbour. Tsawwassen to Long Harbour would be a half-hour ferry trip.

Maybe management should think about getting a raise when the ferries are actually reliable I don't see how management getting paid more is going to help solve anything since they will be getting paid before they fix the problems they created when they should be getting a raise after the problems are fixed now they will have absolutely zero reason to make the ferries reliable since there is no motivation to fix anything if you are guaranteed a raise regardless of your performance as management just another case of throwing money at a problem that can't be solved with money

I worked for BC Ferries back in the 70’s as a student for 2 summers , with dinning rooms and waiters , first class food , and a management that seemed to care , it appears we have not progressed very far to today ,,

This is an Island. We choose to live here. We use to take our good seas and bad without so much complaining. There have always been times the ferries didn't run: weather, old ships, labour disputes. A bridge option has had many studies done to no avail. So if you don't want the adventure of living on this side of The Salish Sea.... well make a different choise.

Maybe we should save some money by cutting the Ceo salary to a union hourly rate, cut bonuses, get mcfail and other high priced specialist out, save that money and listen to what the employees think would make a better work place?
And what the public needs, no frills basic, cheap transportation. Yea reliable comes with a happy work force and simple well maintained mechanics.
