Just because Beyonce is not a good actress doesn't mean she is a horrible person.
But to play a role like Angela Davis, I think Jada Pinkett or Taraji Henson should get the role.
Please don't give that role to Beyonce. Give it to a qualified actress who has mastered their craft. Angela Davis is a serious and powerful woman and I think a serious and powerful actress should play her. And no!! I am not a Beyonce Hater...

Why can't people have an opinion without being called haters? Beyonce cannot play Angela Davis. Period. This is a role for an INTELLIGENT, ARTICULATE, sista, and one that can actually act. Beyonce is inarticulate, cannot act, and I don't even think she that conscious as a black woman. Here is a woman who has inspired sistas to move away from their natural, black, beautiful selves, and instead tap their weaves. Please! To even consider her would be insulting to Angela Davis. By the way she will never be an icon, she can not stand on the stage, with the real icons this is a girl who when on the stage with Tina Turner stepped on Tina's foot, She sung Etta James' song At Last so bad that Etta James was mad about it, and this dummy thought she owned the song when she sung it poorly. She is not respected by the real icons, All of you who are fans of Beyonce you have the right, but do not attempt to put this over rated girl in the same sentence as real icons, she may want to start dancing better than her back up dancers, it says something when the star of the show is upstaged by her back up dancers. She may want to learn the history of the music she attempts to sing, she may want to be more original and not copy others acts, and not do them well. She may want to stop looking blank and lost and slow when she is interviewed, she may want to stop buying her way into movies, because she can not act. She may want to stop picking fights with the Aretha Franklins and others in the business.

The only reason you Beyonce fans want her to get the role is not because yaw think she can act or is better at everything she does, but because yaw want to think can't nobody top her or that these other females can't top her when it comes to anything she does yaw think can't nobody be more successful then her and yaw don't want to see anybody be more successful then her in yaw eyes there is no room for other females!!! As far as acting, she should leave it alone, I know she wants to be an Icon, but she really can be an icon if she would focus on her REAL career, which is an entertainer. We are talking about a TRUE icon in politics which makes me ask this question, we all know for fact that she can't act, but not only could she not act but she even couldn't relate to a story like this, I mean I'm a fan myself but we are talking about a girl who grew up in the suburbs of texas trying to play somebody like this. Beyonce can do anything. She is always poorly criticize and underestimated but always come out like the STAR she is.
I think this role should be played by a veteran ... no disrespect her speech (talking)has just come into play as somewhat normal her interviews are finally tolerable.. that country drawl needs some fixing before she really digs into a powerful role such as this... hater or lover the director should focus on making a great bio not just a seat filler.

I honestly believe she may be able to pull it off, but she needs to leave it alone. She played an icon already. No one wants to see her play every damn icon that they decide to make a movie about. Let someone else do it. Too much exposure will definitely make people tired of you. I have been a destinys child fan from the very beginning so I'm riding with B regardless but you just get so tired of beyonce this or beyonce that. It gets annoying. Let the professional actresses have a chance at their own craft. They only want beyonce because they think it will bring in the $$$$ but that didnt happen with cadillac records because no one cares.

Maybe she can or maybe to can't. All the other rolls she played were typical to me for her. I do not think she was all that great with the little part she had in Cadillac records. However she was awsome to me in Dream Girls and I dont feel she got enough recognition for that. She is very talented but I just don't think she can play every role and this maybe one that is too powerful for a rookie like hwe self. I can see Angel Basset definately.

They need to take a look at the Etta James movie if they think the girl can act. She's invested a lot of money in her looks and thats working for her, but, the acting is a serious no, no. Jennifer Hudson may can do it or angela bassett, queen latifah and many others, but Beyonce is box office poison.

honestly we've seen B grow as an actress- Cadillac records was amazing! and Obsessed has me blown away just thru previews- you should be inspired by her ambition and abilties. People hate to see someone who can do everything because it reminds them that they are doing nothing! Get like B!
