No offense, just sharing a laugh. Anchor couples don't seem to work for a brief half hour evening news format, and makes the evening news format even more outdated. The laugh is we can't remember their names so we call them Bert & Ernie, mostly. Less kind, blame the cocktails: Dumb & Dumber, Beavis & Butthead. I think you should have chosen a woman and a man instead for a better balance.

Having two news anchors is awful. All it is now is like watching a bad game of ping pong. CBS needs to do better.

It is very obvious that the two gay woke liberals are as biased as any,I’ve seen on TV. I would think tha since your ratings are falling that you would try a more middle of the road reporting that your usual extremely left leaning diatribe.
I’ll be watching PBS and Fox. May also contact your advertisers on their broadcast.

    Not working at all
Such a conservative and retro presentation by two men
What is the reasoning behind this old school format?

They don’t seem comfortable with the set up. Both good journalists but as individual reporters.
I miss Nora. I wish her well in her new position, CBS keep looking for new face for CBS evening news

Two anchors are not needed as demonstrated by Norah. The chemistry is off and hate the bouncing between two when they close out the show. Doesn't feel natural and is distracting. Almost like a competition to see who will win the role.

I'd grown used to single anchors. O'Donnell,Pelli, Rather etc. Gonna take some getting used to. I'll give CBS a couple more weeks. Been with them most of my life. Don't wanna change to ABC or NBC, but.....

My husband an I found the format disturbing. The one sentence each bouncing ball made it impossible to follow the content. These two guys are definitely not buddies. I think we will also watch PBS News for a while.

I need to watch less news. When CBS went to all male I have decided to just watch PBS where there are as many females as males.

  • Namee Dickerson - 10 months ago

Not a good format. 2 nights is enough for me. I will watch PBS tomorrow at 6 PM

This format is focused on informing the audience in a measured and accurate way rather than focusing on the headlines in a dramatic often skewed way, the way the news is usually presented. It is a welcome change.

I like Major when he does the news . He is a class act ..

Just isn't working for me. Tho I want the evening news to be less about entertainment and more about explaining serious events of the day without infusing opinions or mistaken facts, I am not feeling like two men with limited personalities are a step towards achieving this. Too mechanical. Fake. Awkward. Will it improve as these anchors get more experience? I just don't think the chemistry is there.

Did not run smoothly. Rhythm was off.

John Dickerson came across as arrogant, domineering, and couldn't seem to sit still.
