When the government took over Education with the creation of the DOE, I thought it was a sad day. The states are the best at educating there students not the Federals. I am in favor of the education being returned to the states.

From what I've heard, DOE is too corrupt to be reformed.
I think we can agree on the Marxist infiltration problem.
Now we can add the confirmed money laundering cesspool.

Education should be up to each state as it was prior to the creation of the Dept. of Ed. by Carter in the late 70's. In order to be eligible to graduate from HS, each student should pass a Senior level Government class to include how our government works; there are three branches and the function of each, checks and balance, electoral college, major case law which which affects how the government operates and they have to take a nationality test and learn the oath that comes with naturalization. Amendments to the Constitution, how they are ratified etc. That is the way it was when I was in school before the Dept. of Ed creation and I'd like to see it return.

The Constitution does not support federal government in our school, it is up to each individual state to take care of their own schools. This is government overreach.

In its current form. I think some form of consistency for education could be valuable. But the leftist regulations need to go. Let teachers teach, not be social workers and form fillers.

Yes Dept of Education spending should be checked to see exactly where the money has been going. Turn Dept of Efucation back to each state. This dept part ment is working US ranked in 40th place. Education must not be something the radical far left Marxist communist democrats can change the education to the CRY transgender information or to try and take parents rights away from them no boys in girls bathrooms or locker room and only girls/females in their bathrooms lockers room and boys/ men are to use male bathrooms and locker rooms and only play in men sports.

I said when Jimmy Carter created the federal Department of Education that it would be useless and all these years later it truly is. It was supposed to help those less fortunate gain a decent education. But ultimately it turned a source of income for less than honest politicians. Some things need to be left in capable hands of the states themselves.

Jimmy Carter made it up. Trump can un-
    make it.
