Other countries have been doing this for years. If you have any long ago roots , you can apply for citizenship for a fee. Just hope they make the vetting be secure so no criminal minded people can buy in.
Plus other countries makes sure that you have an income sufficient to support yourself and not take away jobs from the locals. Even at 5 million, they should make sure they can't take our money out of the country.

It sounds good, but I wonder how it could be manipulated and if there will be 'grants" to overcome the initial investment. Anything can be manipulated. How about applying to be a US citizen based on merit, character, and value to America. Too many Ilhan Omar's here already.

At least it’s a thought of how to regulate immigration and raise funds to bring down our debt. It’s highly unlikely many will be able to ever afford it. But isn’t that part of the point? And it’s so refreshing to see younger faces around the cabinet meeting yesterday.

Why not try it? If it isn't popular then oh well. But, it's worth a shot. Doing nothing isn't an option so I am happy that this administration is thinking outside the box and doing something.

It sounds like a good idea, but I think $5 million is too high. I have my doubts that we would have many takers. It doesn't seem to me that it is the rich people that want to move here, it is the middle-class type. Reduce the amount and make it a bit more reasonable for middle-class entrepreneurs to immigrate. As long as that goes to the national debt, otherwise it needs to go to the states as impact fees for infrastructure such as schools, police, fire, sewer and electrical grid.

If this idea is going to paid the National Debt while at the same time is going to create jobs, improve economy and help the life of American people I’m for it. We all know that President Trump is a business man as well as it is Elois Musk who are using their knowledge to help the US, the life of American people and restored the damages done by previous administration. We voted for all of this so let’s give them our support, Let’s Make America Great Again!????????❤️????????
