Imagine how detached from reality you have to be to enter Power of the Dog and Ladybird automatically and then make Oppenheimer - OPPENHEIMER! - play in. These guys lost it long ago and seem to be doubling down on their delusion.
This was a tough choice for me as I enjoyed both these films greatly. The tie breaker was when I recalled only one of these films had Florence Pugh naked in it
Oppenheimer is so much better than Barbie. But if “I’m just Ken” was a full movie it would have my vote.
I voted for Oppenheimer, but I fear I’m going to one day stand by a pond and realize the ramifications of that vote.
I hope that, unlike the Oscars, the more unique and memorable film will prevail this time...
I should have seen this coming from a mile away, of course we have to decided. Nolan and Gerwig are gonna have more options in the main tournament, so at least the stakes are low. I hate kicking Ken out of the tournament so soon, but Barbie can’t quite match the 70mm magic of Oppenheimer, so I’ll go for the bombmaker.
Okay. This doesn't seem right that only one of these will make the tourney. Oh well they both were not in my top 10 of 2023. I guess maybe I am just buying into the hype. So I argued my way out of opinion. Actually neither deserve to make the tourney. LOL
