I'd never even considered an EV. Too expensive, no towing capacity, fire hazard and few charging stations in my region. However if I lived in the city I might consider a hybrid.

Don’t trust these cars at all. They would be useless to me

My vote was no, but not because I think the cars are a bad thing... actually... I think the idea of electric cars are pretty cool. But I'm an "oldie"... I don't want to learn how to drive (or God forbid "let" drive me) a new car. I have a lot of respect for cars, the job they do AND unfortunately the damage they can cause by people driving them that do not respect their power. I like having my trusty 2003 SUV and my 1994 Ram truck. Simple, sturdy and sound. I turn the key, put it in gear and it goes. No TV, no AI, no GPS and no phones. Ahhhh... but I do have one modern feature. I have a CD player! LOL

We just purchased our 5th Tesla. We absolutely love them! We had an electrician install “level 2” charging in our garage. The Model 3 is a reasonably priced vehicle. If you’ve never driven one, go to a dealership and test drive one. Best ride ever. We’ve never bought one to “safe the planet’ we got them for their safety, smooth ride and reliability.

Love what Elon is doing. I’m a 74 year old female. Hubby and I are retired, debt free. Too set in my ways, love my gas powered vehicles. EV are too expensive to buy and maintain. Plus I do not see that many charging stations in IL. The one at my grocery store is the FARTHEST from the store. IL is a radical blue state so I’m afraid to put a Trump sticker on my vehicle ???? it’ll probably get keyed or hit. Very Sad

I would love to see Elon produce the best and most efficient PHEV as an alternative to pure EV. The PHEV would be more practical for most people. Appreciate Elon and his love for this country and humanity. Cheers!

I answered NO because I think it is ridiculous…. not because the batshit crazy dems say so.. the batteries are huge, can burn your house down and once they go bad there is NO WHERE to dispose of them… oh and too freakin expensive!

I would definitely buy one if I could afford it but only to use around the city, not for long trips. I do not want to have to worry about charging it on vacation.

First let me say I love Elon Musk . I think he is a National treasure. I could never afford an electric car fisrst of all. And I don’t like the idea of hooking up to get it charged and waiting hours . I will stick to the gas cars.

As soon as the battery can get me 450 miles (the distance to my daughter’s home)…. Not until then.

When Tesla first came out with their EV, I was all for it. I got excited that the car could go 250 miles before recharge, where others range was 40-50 miles. I changed my mind with further investigation and thought about how it would increase my electric bill and the inconvenience of waiting a long time for a full charge if on a road trip. I think Toyota Prius as a better option or a car that can fully use a torque system to recharge batteries instead would be a better choice. Waiting for that torque system to be implemented.

I love Elon Musk and what he is doing with DOGE, but I am 83 and not confident about those batteries. It is scary that some have exploded and caused horrible fires. The cars are very nice , but too expensive for us. My husband feels some kind of hybrid is probably the best way to go. I do feel Elon will solve the problems.

I love all the things Musk is doing for our country, advancing technology and innovation, but EV's are not for my budget and lifestyle primarily, cost and driving long distances

I’m from the older generation so I would not buy an electric vehicle. Plus most are out of my price range. I hear the batteries for them are expensive and you can only drive so far. If you want to drive long distances you have to find charging stations.

Living in colder climate alone is reason enough not to buy... but they are not reliable in the sense that I cannot feul up in 5-10min and go Days before next fill-up, the infrastructure is severely lacking takes way too long to charge, and not long enough in between charges!!!

I don’t think EV‘s are practical enough or have this support structure to be a viable/reliable vehicle. I’d rather pay three dollars for a gallon of gas instead of buying an EV.

Let me say first thing. I love what DOGE is doing and I stand firmly behind them! As far as an eletric vehicle, it's a hard pass regardless of the manufacturer. Full on old school!

I would if I could afford one and the infrastructure was better. That one Trump bought is super sweet

I prefer filling up a car w/gas..quicker. And, I don’t go that much anymore, so gas prices are not my issue. . I just hope gas cars will continue to be made until I'm gone.

I wouldn’t mind having a Tesla to go around town if it was more affordable. But for a vehicle on a long trip, give me a gas powered every time! I do however support Elon & admire what all he’s done & is trying to do for this country! He is brilliant.
