Inglorious Basterds is exquisite in so many ways, and yet it never makes me feel anything beyond what an amusement park ride can achieve in just a few minutes. Uncut Gems on the other hand had me grinding my teeth, laughing, then back to forgetting to breathe for what felt like forever (in a good way). Tarantino has better, the Sandman deserves to live to bet another day.
In a twist, Uncut Gems won't make it into the incinerator. Witnesses report it said simply "I disagree" and somehow weaseled its way out of line!
