  This one sucks because I love Past Lives so much, but I know Before Sunset is going to win.

  This is a very interesting one , they are 2 delicate and intimate movies, they are similar, and I guess nany people have seen Before Sunset probably more than once or even just once ,but in connection with the others 2 of the trilogy .So it is a movie that resonates a lot in your mind either isolated or as a part of 3. Past Lives is very recent though, and these kind of movies I prefer to see them again not inmediately, but leaving a time between the first and the second watch to check if you see it differently. To me it is a bit unfair for Past Lives , I voted for Before Sunset but I wasn't really sure about it.

  Brutal pairing for Past Lives. I'd pick it many match-ups if it weren't facing the one movie that is basically the same thing but the best version of it ever made and also probably a direct inspiration for Celine Song in making Past Lives, too.

  Hilarious matchup. Past Lives in many ways feels like a gender swap of Before Sunset where the Jesse character is a better, or at least more self-assured, person.

  I've had like 15 years to sit with Before Sunset and think about how many parts of that conversation and the experience of meeting up with an ex that mirrored my own life and that is probably coloring my judgment here, because I think a couple more viewings of Past Lives might get me there, but y'all are asking about right now, so Before Sunset is the more beguiling story of that ex who got away right now.

  I'd love, LOVE to spend time contemplating all my potential past lives, but then I'd miss that plane.

  Seriously though, this one hurt.
