I've been voting for this movie since its' release.
In my mind, if not reality, Pan's Labyrinth has been under-rated and over-looked.

I pulled the lever for No Country. Hard to believe there are tougher choices ahead than this.

What a time to be considering these two films to each other, when fascism is not very far from our doorsteps. Gosh, Pan's Labryinth is so good at giving us the strength of beautiful stories to power resistance. No Country's reckoning with what folks who want to do good can expect in the face of evil is rougher and less inclined to put a tidy bow on things, but that gives it a lived in quality that's close to the day to day ethical choices we all face, so it's getting my vote. I won't be mad if folks want to stay in a different, gorgeously designed world for a little bit longer.

If i ever met the guys, i would shake their hands. And then I would punch Adam in the nose for forcing me to choose between these two masterpieces.
