Desert girl - Indio High grad ‘71 - first jobs in PS hotels - was there for the Great Coming Out - then losing all my beautiful boys during the Plague Years. So, this show hit very close to home. Top notch cast and loved the walk down memory lane. It is the formulaic sitcom style that leaves me wanting. That said, worth every penny meaning Linda Lavin ended her amazing life in the midst of making this. What a gift all of you gave her

Obviously the person who stated the cast appeared to be straight men acting as if they’re gray has never has a gay friend. Well first off, the actors ARE gay. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. I have told anyone who would listen, to watch it. I haven’t laughed like this in many years. To me, it’s spot on. I was shocked when Sybil died. I knew Linda Lavin had died but I thought the show would handle it with season 2, in an abstract way. It made for good tv though. I hope MCM will be back for many seasons. Thanks for a show that is pure entertainment!!

The 3 main actors are amazing gay men. But most of the first season they seemed like they were straight actors overacting as gay characters. The last couple of episodes everyone seemed to settle down. The language is sometimes shocking, but that seems to be the norm.
It was heart breaking when Linda Lavin died, but handled very well.
I will continue to watch and hopefully characters will come into their own.

Love the cast , amazing and naturally funny actors. Huge loss to lose Linda. Just wish they would get rid of the laugh track, super cheesy. The death episode was written beautifully . Nathan Lane was exceptional in exhibiting the stages of grief. Hope it comes back for a second season.

Ugh! Bittersweet! I love this but it broke my heart RIP Ms Linda. When they said she died my mouth hit the floor. I was thinking why would they kill her off the show she is EVERYTHING! And it hit this must real and I googled before the end credits and wow shocked and saddened. I think handled it very well. I miss her but I do hope and pray they can move forward

I have 3 more episodes to go, but regardless of how harsh the critics were before I watched it, I love the show. It came along at just the right time. Cannot guarantee that I will not cry at the end because Linda Lavin was the perfect addition to the cast. Keep up the great work and thanks for making me laugh. I can so relate to the age factor of the cast.

Loved it. I think the characters will come into their own in the second season. The writers and actors really mesh more after the first season. Going to miss Linda Lavin. That’s crushing and bittersweet. Really looking forward to more seasons of Mid-Century Modern.

I adore all the actors in this show, including the guest appearances. Just love it. Of course, terribly sad about Linda Lavin who I have enjoyed through the years. I am in awe of how they were able to get through episode 9, it was so touching and lovely and sad and true to life happenings.
