I agree with the 400%. We need to go at China hot and hard and get it over with. The sooner the better. Trump is the only world leader who has the guts to actually do anything constructive.

It seems to me the idea is to destroy China's economy, teach them a lesson, and kill any future of the belt & road plan of China. Make sure that most countries side with the U.S. or face severe consequences. No more playing "nice guy" and that is a big plus for the American people even if we have to pay higher prices for a little while. About time we had an administration with some backbone. We do have the largest economy in the world!

I say no as President Trump doesn’t need to be so extreme - 125% is plenty and slowly tighten the screws - China will eventually cave just like al the countries!

I only say NO because it's silly. Two ADULT national leaders playing these games. Why doesn't POTUS Trump just take the bull by the horns and tell Xi to take some time to think about it AND in the meantime America DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING MORE FROM CHINA?!! When Xi is actually ready to talk sensibly and negotiate, get in touch. At the very least Trump will APPEAR to be an adult!!!

China is suffering. They have invested heavily in their country in military and technology. However, they have been going down in their GPD. They are putting great hope in consumers and their drmands. The people are not spending as their givernment hopes. China refuses to incur any more humiliation as it has done for years. The tariffs must be enacted because China does not like or adhere to courts' laws. They must be pushed hard enough to concede and trade fairly. Their economy is in a spiral. Pressure with tariffs is the only answer for any fair trade.
