I don’t get why people love Mulholland Drive so much. It’s such a weird, disjointed movie (like most of Lynch’s work). Eternal Sunshine is my favorite movie and such a beautiful work of art, with a clear plot and message. I don’t understand how there could be a real fight between these two, but I don’t claim to be a master cinephile!

I’m voting Eternal Sunshine this round. While Mulholland Dr is probably getting a Lynch bump, it’s also had a highly favourable seeding and extremely favourable draw. Parasite and Mulholland drive’s seeding should have been switched in my opinion, given Parasite won the 2010s draw and Mulholland didn’t even make the final. Then Parasite would be top 4 in its place.

I plummeted from T-47 to T-184. Shoulda gone with Mulholland Drive over In the Mood for Love, but I'll stand by my Fury Road pick. This round I'm going ESOTSM and No Country, not only because I think they're better films, but also to make my humiliation complete.

I am Sooooo happy that one of the most overrated films of all time, Parasite, is finally gone! Can I please flip the switch to turn on the furnace???
While I appreciate Mulholland Drive, I have to vote for the beautiful humanity that is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And wish more films with this level of creativity and humanity were being made today.

Kind of too bad that no 2010's films made the final 4. Now looking at my top 200 of all time list I find Mulholland at # 55, Eternal Sunshine at # 56, and There Will Be Blood at #57. (that means these three movies are pretty much tied) No Country is at # 161. I have Parasite, and The VVitch higher than Mulholland. Hopefully next year we go back to the 1940's. I'm pretty familiar with the movies of this century, but doing the 40's would probably lead me to seeing some things I'm not familiar with.

Ahh yes, and finally Eternal Sunshine has pissed some people off. It's my #1 movie and I feel great. I picked it in my bracket to win, but the rest of my bracket is so flawed it didn't matter. I love the message of Eternal Sunshine and hope to see it go all the way.

I can't believe Eternal beat the FAR superior Parasite! But I digress, because the FAR superior Mulholland Drive shall rectify this injustice!

I'm giving this to Mulholland Drive. Not just for thinking it's the better film but come one. What better way to pay respect to David Lynch, one of the greatest directors that ever lived and who's artistry will be deeply missed.

Deeply flawed. A phrase used regularly for Filmspotting polls, and rightfully so. But today, after witnessing the absolute miscarriage of justice that was Eternal Sunshine eliminating Parasite, I have no choice but to assign this phrase to my fellow listeners. Shame on you.
Mulholland Drive gets my vote now and forever.
