Should there be a requirement that all elected members of Congress, and all judges, be born in the USA?

There should be no foreigners in our government in Congress in the Senate and definitely not in the legal system know how no way. These people that are in our government have to work for America and the American people and they have to have respect the laws of our Constitution. If I remember correctly Omar was sworn in under Sharia law not with her hand on the Bible which is a requirement when you become a member of our government. As far as I'm concerned she's not legally in the government because Sharia law is not legal in the United States of America. These people work for their country They don't work for America and the American people and that is the main reason what they should not be allowed into our government in any way shape or form.

Agree 100% with all the comments, please also include the senators. We are losing our country, this need to change before is too late! The results of this poll and all the comments should be sent to the President and a request from we the people to change the law or an amendment to the constitution.

Ted Cruz; Marco Rubio fine officers of US positions would have been counted out. All electees MUST pledge allegence to the USA 100% or be disqualified. If renig of their alliance they’d be disqualified on the spot. Making an e csmple of AOC - oust her and her croniees!!

I do believe that ALL members of Congress should be U.S. born and maybe judges. With the huge influx of aliens and especially illegal aliens that do not believe in our system of laws and government we are losing our country. Look at some of the members of Congress that support terrorism, sharia law, and other abominations, people who have brought their corrupt and immoral values from other countries and then have been elected to Congress, become judges, and now are trying to change America for the worst.

All branches of our government should be nationalized born in our country. Unfortunately if this is not changed we will keep seeing this craziness in our government. I don’t understand any person, who keeps fighting for illegal immigrants. I don’t care if they have criminal records or not. If you came here illegally you can not stay. To have people, judges, and groups fighting for illegals is the most crazy thing ever. This takes away from our citizens. To have judges and our congress and senators who are from other countries cannot have our best interests. This needs to be stopped! Change is needed

Let’s face it, foreigners do not come here to embrace our ways, they come here with their own baggage and want to change it. Just like our language, we cater to Spanish, press 2 for Spanish. If we offered more ways to learn English, more people would learn it. Do other countries have a press 2 for English?

Remember it has always been said to take over America you do it from within, that is exactly what we are watching!

YES!! We should ALL be natural born Americans for ALL branches of our gov’t!! Get rid of those who were born in another country! No, I’m not racist, or, I wasn’t until all of these people who weren’t born here began coming in and stealing, murdering, and on and on!! I’m tired of it! I LOVE my country, and do pray for all of this to STOP.

Not just Congress but Senate also. Anything hyhst has to do with our constitutional ways. We have allowed ones coming in , become a “citizen “, and then find out they have planted themselves into our country to do harm. I also think that the foul language needs to be addressed. Never have I ever heard so much cursing from
    The leaders. It’s embarrassing.

Since we have so many “dreamers” in this country, and Sharia being on the rise, it would seem to be prudent, to protect our sovereignty, to protect our Republic, that from this point on, only natural born citizens of natural born citizens that have spent the first 16 years of their lives in this country should be eligible to run for any federal office and hopefully state offices.

I voted unsure. I believe if you're a judge you should be born in the United States and to be a member of congress you should be a citizen of the United States for at least 40 years.

If your have chosen to become a citizen and love this country, then I don’t see a problem with you getting into politics. There are so many US born politicians right now that have no respect for this country and our constitution There is a group of people that continue to do more harm than good to America. I don’t think this question can have a simple yes or no answer.

    That's a tough one.

See political pistachio, and his videos about the founding fathers speaking about natural born citizens, and where their loyalties should lie. Same should apply to congress.

Back when constitution was written the population. Was a lot smaller. More people were immigrants than non-immigrants. That has changed a lot therefore I believe that we should have a natural born citizen. We have plenty of those to choose from these days.
