Excluding any of the children, if you were to ask me to pick the one "good character" on the show it has to be Hurley. No contest. Hurley is always trying to help out. He might do something goofy and accidentally mess things up, but his heart is always in the right place.
I thought Jack handled Roger very well with the one exception of telling him that he did know Kate, and making it sound like he knew her for a long time or something, which of course is true, but might not be a good thing to tell Roger. Also I will give Jack credit for reporting it to Sawyer, but my vote still goes to Hurley.

This episode belongs to Hurley, he really reached out to Miles. But have no doubt that Jack is on his way back to being Lost's leading man hero.

Ditto Jed & Clark. I loved Hurley in this episode (as always) but was highly impressed w/ Jack's attitude and ability to handle Roger. I loved the way he turned the information over to Sawyer, in a very calm way and just left. I did vote for Hurley however. :)

Even though his character has been low-key as of late (to say the least), Jack was still able to demonstrate grace under pressure and calmly manage what could have been a tense situation with Roger. Jack gets my vote.

That is not fair - everyone is going to pick Hurley!! But Jack needs some kudos as well.
