So many memories of Preaknesses. Maybe more precious are the rare afternoons playing hooky from work and enjoying the horses, jockeys, and exciting races without the crowds. I’m from Woodbourne Heights in Baltimore 15 minutes from the track.
I’m excited about the new Pimlico. I hope they will honor the name and memories with the new track.

Ever since Barbaro was injured in the Preakness, I can't watch horse racing anymore. It is cruel.

Horseracing is animal cruelty and needs to end. Millions of taxpayer dollars to prop up this ruthless industry masquerading as a sport is a crime against horses. I LOVE HORSES! Protest the Preakness from 1 - 3:30 at Pimlico Racetrack this Saturday, May 17th.

My favorite part is when it is over. The drunk-fest that uses a horse race as the pre-text is stupid.
