I believe the right contestant won; Jamal stage presence was awesome. He sung with so much passion. I enjoyed John as well but was looking to see something a bit different. He did nothing different, and did not interact with the audience. I am sure that Big things are coming to him. Great job Jamal and I felt your delivery of your songs deep in my Soul.
The only reason Breanna didn't get more votes, cause the voting public doesn't like gospel music. And the only reason John didn't get more votes, cause this younger generation doesn't like good old fashion country, they want to mix
pop and R&B with country, which is not country.
I am stoked that Jamal won! I liked Breanna and Thunderstorm too. I know that there were a lot of people wanting John to win. Granted, he can sing, but his stage presence and overall performing were boring. There were a lot of great singers in the competition this year (I admit I haven't watch in many years). I was amazed at how many talented artists they had this year and look forward to some of them coming back. I'm proud of Jamal and I don't think these were sympathy votes. Americans voted on voice as well as stage presence. Jamal was the "It" factor. I believe it was the icing on the cake that he was family oriented, community active, and spiritual. At least it was for me. All three will go on to do some great things and I look forward to seeing just how great they are!
Yes. They did get it right. I was hoping Jamal would win. But i also liked John Foster and Brianna and would have been bappy for them, also. Three different styles, all very good. I am not going to bad mouth any of the talent. Which was amazing this year. Any of the Top 10 could have been the winner. Just because someone is not a country singer does not mean they should not win. All three will do just fine. THEY WERE ALL DESERVING, but there can only be one winner.

Love these shows, it gives us the general public the opportunity to pick wonderful entertainers. People we feel just might make it big. This is many an artists dream,to be successful at what they love. It has been often times said, if you love what you do. you never work a day in your life. My favorite,the one I felt would have been the best entertainer was Gabby. Glad Jamal got it! He is a wonderful entertainer with a pleasant voice.
This was a good season of American idol!

John Foster should have won! The actual winner should have been third.
I believe the wrong person won. I will no longer watch American Idol, I think it is a scam telling people to vote knowing they already have picked who will win. This season the great singers who should have gone through got eliminated and some of the not so great went through. The last two seasons the people who won should not have even gotten to the top 10. I feel it has come down to sympathy votes.
I am so disappointed in American Idol, good luck I hope the show gets canceled.
NONO NO NO ee they DID NOT get it right. John Foster should have won. Breanna should have been runner up. I still wondering how many votes did not get counted so jamal would win.. I wake up this moring with three message tell me my votes did not count because they did not reconisge 21523 #13. . I dealted thm and wish now I had saved it to show that my votes didn count. I stoped watching American Idol because over the years the company had there favoite and that who the judges promted. I was hoping with Carrie Underwood as judge and the amount of good signire this year that that would not happen. But you could tell Luke and Lionel and Ryan and Jelly rode were protment him. . so I know 10 of my votes did not get counted so if you can only vote 10 why did rayan all thouout show tell people they can vote 2 three ways 30 votes. No jamal should not have won but I hope John and Breanna goes far as some of the othe r have that didnt make it in American Idol. True Country need John Foster
