Should Memorial Day be observed as a month-long tribute?

Although I voted no, I feel I could be a extended to a long weekend or even week to honor each branch of the military, one day for each. It is a very important day to recognize those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. One day is just not enough

Keep the Day special by not making it a month long. We already have other recognized days that cover the other folks who have served. Let's keep each of those days special as well. Veterans Day is celebrated all of us that took the Oath and served.

Yes a great idea! Honor each branch of military equally. With history and names of those who died. God Bless America ????????????

I vote NO, not that their not important but it would dilute the importance of the holiday.

I was torn but voted yes. I agree it might get diluted or be considered over saturation. And therefore lose its meaning to some. But as a family member of September 11th, I can assure you it never goes away. Schools can do more comprehensive lessons all month long. The younger generation needs the reminders and lessons. It can be done both ways and still be honoring and remembering our military and first responders, sacrifices…..God Bless

Maybe a month long celebration is too long to general public but to those who lost a loved one no amount of time to honor their loss is enough. Perhaps combining Memorial Day Veterans Day and the date each of our armed forces was created could be a weeklong celebration of our military and their families.

I voted yes but I really was leaning towards a no. I agree with Wayne Sageman above that "it would dilute the significance of what we already celebrate."

It’s Memorial Day not Memorial month. To me honoring one day is more special than over 31 days.

I voted no because I feel it would dilute the significance of what we already celebrate. Month long tributes; such as pride and blm are stupid and unnecessary.
