If you see someone waiting for your spot do you tell them you will not be leaving right away?
I do not feel an obligation to let them know, they will soon enough see I am not leaving
If I am going to be more than a few minutes, I possibly would signal something to that effect
I always will somehow let them know I am not leaving right away
I just never idle in my car to begin with, when I get in, I leave so not an issue
