Maybe to 10. I have lived in small rural communities my entire life (69). So many small-town businesses close their doors if expenses are high. Costs are already high enough. If there would be no tax on tips that would help keep hourly wage down for the employer. Gradual increase every year or two. When wages increase, so does everything else, so when is the limit. Big cities and wealthier people make it. Smaller communities feel the pain.

$7.50 is not enough to live on for most people. I think it should be raised to at least $10.

Not that high, but maybe to $10 an hour

Trump didn’t create this depression. By keeping our salaries low while they gave America away and made themselves rich They got rid of our jobs and those who worked and created and made this country Well they gave their jobs to DEI and illegals. We died over 50 yrs ago . Only those who know how to work and survive have been keeping this country going And let’s not forget Gods children are the reason America is still standing Only fools can’t see that when politicians gave everything we created and had to the world and illegals . Americans made this country Not immigrants Our ancestors died making us a nation of Americans . They made us nothing but consumers who raised useless children to sit on the couch and want handouts. Over half this country can’t fry and egg Much less do Labor for their food . They create nothing They work for nothing Yet they are the freebie crowd destroying cities and infrastructures that is needed for survival. Protesting against their own people With criminals and those who do not deserve anything! When they give our country away To those who never became part of it Americans if they are still alive will be their slaves !
Ask how many illegals and blacks and young people live off of the backs of working people. Government stats say White people are the fastest growing poverty stricken in America and around the world . Britain is killing their own people And replacing them with Muslims. White Americans only receive .02 % if any and all government assistance Including Medicaid and food stamps . Of which illegals and I have seen their cards given to them with $18000.00 That’s being shown on the Internet While idiots protest Not against Trump But Americans They think we have no say .
And Biden and the democrats and politicians stole our American lives Now there’s no backup as our people are useless genderless morons Exactly what they wanted to remove. And they are killing us off daily with medicines and food and air that kills us all.
Democrats stopped any salaries of the working people over 50 yrs to ever increase or their salaries and ability to climb the ladder to the top. Slavery is for all of us Death is as well Anyone who thinks you can spend trillions you don’t have And survive and have the worlds peoples dumped on them. Who take food out of Americans mouths and everything else. Even the government should have been on a budget. But without Our ability to work and take care of ourselves We are doomed.

No, there should be NO increase in the minimum wage. It is fine where it is. Minimum wage is supposed to be for entry level jobs, not for an adult trying to earn a living. A higher minimum wage will force many small businesses to close because they can’t afford to pay outrageous salaries.

You're a complete fool if you think raising minimum wage is a good idea. Period! It would be smarter to get rid of ALL unions. They are and always will be the downfall of the American economy.

Yes it should to 10.00 this year & gradually raise it to 15.00 over a 7 year period

A raise to minimum wage would be good, but only like a dollar or something at a time jumping all the way to $15 would break businesses and they would close. A lot of people would lose their jobs. That’s too big of a jump at once.
Kathy - 8 months ago
NO immediate raise to $15. Gradual with col reduction simultaneously. A raise helps NO ONE if consumers walk away and ees lose their jobs. Use some intelligent wisdom in making the decision.

I agree with the other comments that this should be gradual. But also, maybe this should be a state decision based on that state's average wage and cost of living...

It is a blade with two sides! I agree to raised it but not to $15 why not better by lowering the cost of life, problem solved! Many people will lose their jobs because not every businesses owners can afford it, others will raised their prices already too high even more and what about those already making $15 an hour, they will expect to get a good raise too. No $15/hour not, a gradual raise will work better! What about a cost of living raises every year like everyone else, raise it now to maybe $9 or $10 but $15 is way too much and will affect negatively in many ways!
Every time minimum wage goes up everything goes up. It should be gradual.
Servers and other tipped employees only get $2.13 an hour.
Back of the house salary goes up server gets stuck doing more work.
Dinner prices jump up.
Start @ $9.00 go to $12.00 in three years, a dollar each year.
Most get Earned Income Credid and Child credits.

Raise yes but not to $15, maybe $10. I hate these raises because anyone already working for $15 will expect they also should get a big raise. If a business doesn’t raise the wages of those already working for $15 then that wouldn’t be fair. So businesses will have to greatly raise prices, or reduce workforce hours. Consumers do not like big jumps in prices.

I believe there should be a minimum wage increase however I don’t think it should go from $7 to $15! Maybe $10? But I think if it goes too high there will be too many losing jobs.
