These seasonal jobs used to be filled by high school kids, visa holders & agriculture students for (internship) community credits. There are thousands that are on gov programs that could be used for these jobs to qualify for their benefits. We don't want to encourage illegals for any reagion.

I voted NO because illegal is ILLEGAL and if the government wants to go through the immigration system and do something like temporary system like the Bracero program was then OK, but allowing illegals to remain because they are needed for hospitality or farming is not right.

I met a man who came here from Mexico and is now a citizen. He has his CDL license....when he goes to apply, they assume he is illegal and offer him half the going rate. When he says, "No, I get twice that rate....", they tell him to his face they are hiring illegals across the border to drive trucks for industries in the USA for half the rate citizens with CDL licenses get. I'll grant you, there would be some pain involved in the switch....but giving up and giving in is just that. Illegals are taking over the entire automotive industry. Body shops don't even hire citizens anymore. If you think it would stay only in farming and hospitality....I want the delusional pill you take every morning to live. There really needs to be a way to back illegals with no criminal history accept minor traffic offenses into the H-2a visa program. Then at least we know how many, who and where they are. In my neck of the woods Building, Landscaping, Golf Courses, Resorts, Hotels , Agriculture, Equestrian and many supporting services would come to a screeching halt if they weren’t here or were scared to come to work. Trump owns resorts and golf courses. I would think he would know this and have a plan. Maybe he does and we just don’t know it yet as they focus on criminals

I voted NO. Trump campaigned on several issues American voters wanted and he's NOT HOLDING UP HIS PROMISES. There wasn't any waiver between "legal" and "illegal" immigrants in his promises. I read this separation as an implication there aren't already enough immigrants in America to handle farming and hospitality! That's hard to believe. ANOTHER "UUUGE" PROMISE he made and isn't keeping is NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY. Senior on SS were taxed when working and are taxed again when receiving SS. Some are barely paid $1500-2000/mo, rec'd 2.5% COLA for 2025 and are still required to pay IRS taxes. Trump doesn't seem to care now that he's in his final term as POTUS. BUT everyone reading this will one day be a senior on SS and it will affect you AND the way Trump has handled this will effect the Republicans in 2026 and 2028!

I voted unsure due the fact that the farmers do need people who are willing to work, so that their produce can be sent the market can they make profit. Now my question is would American workers be willing to work on a farm? Some African Americans would look at this as heading backwards in to slavery, and would not agree to work on any farms. Now if the US government will allow legal immigrants who are willing to work on farms, then that would help the farmers to increase their production and have the opportunity to sell their produce which will increase their profits and increase the our food supply.

I voted no as I watched many years ago where we used to live people from other countries mainly Mexico were being brought here in the south to work in agriculture. It was organized and structured and it quite literally took away jobs from our citizens. Yes those jobs were seasonal and hot and dirty but it taught young people the work ethic and they aspired to get better jobs and it worked! The problem was that many blacks did those jobs and now it is considered “slave” labor! They became “entitled” and no longer would work for the white man. They were “given” jobs that previously one would have to obtain skills for. It got worse as the education system was crumbling and many were being allowed to attend college and obtain degrees whether or not they earned those degrees. Fast forward to today and look at what we see. A great divide in our country. Middle class is disappearing and there are differing rules for people of color as opposed to the whites. Much of our manufacturing went to foreign countries and we have seen the illegal population increase exponentially. Our food supplies are contaminated in the fields as these people were unsanitary in their behavior as they worked and we saw rises in illnesses from eating produce that had been handled by these workers. Now we are learning more that has been designed by our government and there are poisons and other things being put into processed foods that are sold in our country but in other countries those things aren’t allowed. It’s all been a wicked plan from the start. It has to stop!
