???? ☝️I am qualified to speak on this as my husband and I have held CDL’s me for 25 years and and my husband ever since they required one . I turned my CDL in to get my regular license Because my CDL had hazmat and every kind of combination listed . And with those endorsements . If I got a ticket or violation . It would not matter That I was retired. My points would be doubled and the rulings against me would be worse . My husband drove since 1964 when it was only a license issued by a commissioner.Together we had almost a 100 yrs of experience. We owned our own trucks as well . Until 2008 and Bush destroyed our business. Then we had to drive for a company again . The rules and regulations not only by the federal government are enormous The CDL is a federal license . And each state issues them if you have the proper credentials. And pass the driving test in a semi with And Officer next to you . But each state adds even more rules and regulations. If you knew them all your truck would never move !
This was nothing but a money maker. It was like all things done . It was suppose to insure there were capable people behind the wheels of those trucks . The paperwork required is massive And so is the training and knowledge. But since Illegals were dumped into our country They were hired with out all of those requirements I saw 4,and 5 illegals in trucks to keep them running . I saw illegals receiving Licenses in the Greenville SC Whitehorse rd DMV Get their license without any tests. A test for a CDL requires being taken in a Semi . And you had to have had either trucking school or been grandfathered into for over 10 yrs .driving . And they didn’t have one I also saw When legally only two can operate using a logbook.Logbooks dictate how many hours a week you can drive Each driver only has so many hours of service. . But companies were using them knowing that the two drivers would runout of time and those would not . This cut the pay for American drivers and at .18 cents per mile and no benefits.
Imagine how you could live off of that. Drivers are born nit made. And they live what they do But this killed the industry that runs America Along with the railroads that our government gives every thing too Kniwing they can’t survive without these trucks.
Each state that gave this illegal a CDL should be punished along with this murderer That has yet to act like he did anything. But of course You know what color the dead people were .
Think about this. No drivers license should be used as a form of ID to vote or get a CDL or any benefits
Being they give them out like candy. Illegals should have a government card with their picture which they do get when they complete the requirements to be a legal citizen.
One other thing to think about. I was a delegate So I met Lindsay Graham . Our identity was stolen by 3 illegals 3 separate times. In my questioning Him about how the IRS knows who is the real SS account holder.
His answer ! You have a paper trail. I said yes And that paper trail is connected to my info and SS number So now what.

I agree with Martha 100%! No one here on a visa should get ANY KIND OF DRIVER'S LICENSE unless they can prove they can understand, speak and READ English. But especially truck drivers. Those jobs should go to Americans.

My husband is a long haul truck driver, has been for thirty five years. Nearly all our married life and yes we are still happily married. When the last of our kids left home to start their own lives I spent a good deal of time on the road with him. The things you see from the cab a big rig is astounding, rookie drivers who can’t back their rig into a parking spot between to trucks. Divers falling asleep at the wheel, or medical emergencies happen all the time. But now the scariest thing is seeing some immigrant getting out of a truck and realizing that they are not able to speak English while you are fueling your own truck. How does that happen? English proficiency testing needs to be standardized. If you can’t read, write, and speak English and don’t know what traffic signs mean you should not be driving anything…well except maybe a bicycle…
