Winnipeg for sure! All of the reasons that the Jets failed are now working in our favour.
-We built a new arena capable of generating revenue
-The NHL has a salary cap allowing smaller market teams to be competitive
    -The Cdn $ is stronger
-Failing US franchises and a need to put teams back where they will generate money for the league
Moving at least three teams to Canada would not only be possible but very successful.

I think Hamilton should get a hockey team it used to be a Canadian game so how come the states have more teams than Canada obviously Bettman is anti-Canadian something doesn't seem right too much bias towards american teams even though some teams have very poor attendance in the states

    Winnipeg, hands down.

With an NHL-ready rink and hockey organization in the Manitoba Moose (which is widely regarded as the 31st NHL team), the transition for any troubled sun-belt team would be smooth. There is a 50 company waiting list for suites at the MTSC and our economy is diversified and strong... and our passion for the game is second to none.

The MTSC is the 3rd busiest arena in Canada, behind the Bell Centre and the ACC (not including hockey or basketball). We consistently sell pre-season NHL games well, even though the visiting teams plaster the MTSC with signs that say "No Autographs" and refuse to dress their stars. The arguments about Winnipeg not being able to afford hockey and not being able to support hockey are ludicrous. With the salary cap system, we could field a competitive team and be a model franchise. What league wouldn't want that?

It's our time... the NHL can right one of its biggest wrongs by bringing the Jets back to Winnipeg.

(I don't care if it's Phoenix, Tampa Bay, the NYI... any team will do.)

I don't think there are too many Canadian teams but there certainly are far too many teams in the NHL. If there were about 15 teams we would probably see a decent game once in a while.

Cambridge is growing. This location includes other growing Towns/Cities including Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, London, Brantfordand of course Hamilton/Burlington.

What about Victoria? It costs around $50 to cross on the ferry, so everything in Vancouver is far more expensive. We're a capital, we'd likely come to the games. The Salmon King games are usually well attended.

Phoenix Coyotes used to be the Winnipeg Jets so of course Winnipeg would be the logical choice. For the sake of die hard Jets fans I hope this comes to pass.
I think it would be very good for the economy here in Winnipeg even if I do not go to see the games.

From 1972 until 1996 when Winnipeg Jets were in business, it was perhaps the single greatest period in the history of hockey to see the number of superstars playing. Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, Lafleur, Keon, Gretzky, Lemieux, Bure, roy, Selanne, all came through Winnipeg and it was great! The attendance not so much!

I would love to see a team in both Hamilton AND Winnipeg, they are both worthy. However, if I had to choose just one, it has to be Winnipeg. There is a huge hole in the middle of our country. There is no NHL team between Toronto and Calgary! Hamilton isn't suffering, they are 3 hours from Ottawa, 1 hour from Toronto, and 45 mins from Buffalo. Where can us Winnipegers go to watch a game??

Also, the Manitoba Moose have led the AHL in attendance for nearly the past decade. The Moose lead the AHL in playoff attendance. Hamilton Bulldogs barely get 3000 people per game. In the pre-season NHL game in Hamilton between Pittsburg and Buffalo (I beleive Crosby was playing), they only drew 7500 fans and the tickets were cheap. In Winnipeg, the tickets are $120 for pre-season Coyotes game (no star players) and they get 14K ...

Currently Manitoba and Saskatchewan have the lowest unemployment rates in all of Canada. We are the only two economies that will grow this year. Southern Ontario is hurting.

Winnipeg also has the 3rd largest Financial Sector in Canada (only Toronto and Montreal are larger). Great West Life, Investors Group, Wawanesa, Richardson Greenshield, Wellington West and London Life all have their head offices here. Winnipeg actually has more corporate Head Offices of Canadian Fortune 100 companies than Edmonton and Ottawa combined!

So, I hope we both get in ... but I would have to say Winnipeg first, then Hamilton!

    Go Canada!

We need to remove the biggest obstacle first before relocating a team to Canada. that is Gary Bettman. He has proven that he is anti-Canadian in his approach to running the NHL. My advice to him is to be nice to Balsillie, as he may need him to bail out the entire league someday.

I miss the JETS. Their blue away 90's jersey was the best looking jersey in the league IMO. Comon' Hamilton let us have our team back (The Coyotes/Jets) go for Nashville instead.

    Lets go Jets!

A franchise in Hamilton, Toronto proper, or any of the surrounding suburbs, or even as far as Kitchner-Waterloo, would be successful. In fact, I think Southern Ontario can - and should - support TWO more NHL franchises. Once Phoenix moves up to Hamilton, they should work on getting the Predators, Thrashers or Panthers up to Southern Ontario as well. Then move the Lightening to Winnipeg, and the Hurricanes to Q-City, and things would once again be as they should be in the NHL.

But who am I kidding. We all know Gary Buttman will find a way to scuttle this. Less than a year ago he was musing about another round ofexpansion, to Kansas City, Portland or Las Vegas. What a tool.
