1) Horror Expendables - With the caveat that it requires David Howard Thornton and/or Lauren LaVera to be commercially successful. Zoomers just wont turn out en masse for Jason, Freddie, or Jigsaw.
2) The Privilege - If it can define the rules and hit the right tone on the limited budget it has the most franchise potential.
3) The Obituary - Would really have to thread the needle between Final Destination, One Missed Call, etc. However if you can pull off 6+ memorable kills the premise doesn't matter too much.
4) AI Girlfriend conjures a Demon - Probably 5000 pitches being made by AI girlfriends as we speak, but Darren is passionate and knowledgeable about it, could be good.
5) Dead in the Water - My mental concept for it is probably more pulpy than the pitch, but I like the dual zombie and underwater threat. I wanna see a radioactive zombie melt through a submarine door.
6) Free Fall - Another lockdown killing social experiments would be hard to gain traction unless they have the production level of Squid Game.
7) The Trench - Hard to make the palette anything but muddy brown, and that really put a damper on Sisu for me.
8) Stripper Camp - Not for me.
9) Peace Corpse - I'm not sure what it is.

I gotta go with the plane idea!
I ALSO love the idea of a horror convention movie - I know my convention-attending friends have always been wondering why isn't there a horror movie about a horror convention (at least there are none I am aware of?). so you guys being the first of that new nano-genre could be an advantage. Maybe it could be more universally appealing if the film followed a group of friends attending the con - I feel like a a horror (or even comic) con slasher with horror-star cameos would be really exciting.

The obituary sounds really cool to me definitely some final destination vibes but I feel like there are ways you could make that different and really unique. I'm excited for any movie that is picked they all have so much potential and I'm excited to see the whole journey!
I actually really dug Darren's AI demon summoning idea. I love the juxtaposition of something so high tech with something so archaic and ancient.

I’m gonna write Dead In The Water if you don’t

Voted for The Privilege and The Obituary, but sticking with it regardless of the outcome.

Oh, I forgot to mention the thing about the AI Idea. There is a book called The God Game about a chatbot that may or may not be God and it forces kids to play an evil augmented reality video game through their phones. Its very cool, and should be considered if the AI idea is pursued. Especially with how into immersive experiences like Darren has mentioned in previous episodes.

I think the A.I. idea is gold. Even though A.I. turned our world into a black mirror episode over night, the horror movies I've seen so far about it take it waaay to literal. You don't have to be that on the nose to mirror our current anxieties!
I say No: don't just give us nuclear bombs, give us gojira! No straight study about consumerism and corporate greed, we want American Psycho! No dancing humanoid A.I. dolly, we need Darrens satanistic chatbot summonig demons! Now!

I love The Privilege, but Darren is right that the idea should be saved for a larger budget. Free Fall is easily the strongest second idea.
Just as a note. Friday the 13th started with just a title, and it is one of the largest franchises in the world. Peace CorpsE is such a good name that something good will come out of it simply because the title is provocative. One of the same reasons i find The Privilege to be so compelling.

Have to say, preferred other options until it was suggested that The Privilege be set in a small town and now it's easily my favorite. I think setting it in a city makes me think too much of The Purge movies which are too actiony for my taste.

I thought more would pick the plane movie and my other choice is The Obituaries. This is fun!

Horror Expendables is the funniest idea and has easily the best chances of commercial success. Just saying.

I hear the argument against the Privilege…. But it’s still leading for me. I feel there’s versions of it that would fit different budgets. Of the frontrunners I still have reservations about Comic Con, but mainly because it might alienate those not in horror circles (but if we don’t mind that happening I’m here for it, as it’s a film I know I’d personally love to see!)

I feel like The Privilege and Freefall have the clearest, most crucial threat dynamic and innate drama. But Obituary has great spooky potential, as does Demon AI Girlfriend.
Sophie's Choice. But I'm going with the two crowd pleasers. I LOVE The Priv but worried about making it on the budget we have. But really can't wait to hear your choices!!!!
