I think Epic's customer focused strategy and market size gives it a strategic advantage. Oracle has significantly underestimated what it takes to win in healthcare. Healthcare requires a long term view and consistency even when profits are elusive. Mass layouts, major customer losses and not mentioning healthcare in their quarterly presentations supports my belief.

application code generators slow things down. Now I have to double check the code, figure out what you did. decide if that's what I want. when I could have just written the code
